Autumn Talks with Angela MacSharry
Recording
Angela MacSharry has worked in the mental health field for over 16 years. During the pandemic she saw an increase in challenges people were experiencing and this inspired her to further her mental health qualifications and to train in clinical hypnotherapy, eventually setting up her own private practice. Alongside this, Angela is a mental health first aider, suicide first aider, defuser (to reduce the likelihood of PTSD after a traumatic incident) and has a wellbeing dog named Captain Monty.
Angela, will talk about mental health for Adults and Children.
The experience of isolation during covid also had a detrimental impact on children. Angela is currently carrying out a placement providing counselling to children in primary school. The focus is helping children develop coping skills, recognise their emotions and to increase self esteem.
